A 10 year old boy was at a city park playing. Some other children were playing around a memorial statue, when it fell over crushing our young client’s foot causing severe damage. This case was litigated and ultimately settled prior to trial for $450,000.00.

This case involved a teenager who went to camp and developed an infection in his eye. He was treated for pink eye, when it was actually a severe corneal abrasion which became infected. This case involved an automobile accident where a vehicle ran a red light t-boning our client’s vehicle with three children in the back seat. Our client, a 29 year old mother, was stopped at a stop sign. This case involved a young man in his late 20’s who was involved in an automobile/motorcycle accident. He went to the hospital to have his nose repaired. During surgery, the anesthesiologist failed to perform proper extubation, prematurely or incorrectly extubating our client resulting in loss of oxygen, pulmonary infiltrates and edema which resulted in cardiopulmonary arrest and death. Client was utilizing the wheelchair in its intended and instructed manner, when the front wheels collapsed as he entered his home, causing the wheelchair to fall over and land, together with the weight of the client’s body, on his left foot and ankle area which was trapped by the wheelchair, causing a severe break to his left ankle. He had multiple surgeries on the ankle. This case was settled with manufacturer and vendor who sold the wheelchair to the client.

$50,000.00 – Product Liability – Defective Hernia Mesh

Our client had a mesh implanted during a tension-free obturator procedure. Not long after the surgery, our client began experiencing pain and discomfort in the area where the mesh was implanted. After multiple visits to the hospital, it turned out that the mesh that was used during the surgery was causing the vaginal wall to erode. After filing suit against the manufacturer and before trial, the claim was resolved to the client’s satisfaction.

Scrubber Tank Malfunction

This industrial case involved a phosphate mine when an industrial worker was sucked into a scrubber tank and wrongfully killed. We prosecuted product design liability claims against numerous corporate defendants who designed and manufactured the scrubber tank system resulting in a substantial award to our client.
